Good Morning, Government!

I stole the following from a comment on the Huffington Post; the comment was in reaction to the Republican jeering of the President during his health care reform speech:

This morning I was awakened by my alarm clock powered by electricity generated by the public power utility regulated by the U.S. Department of Energy.

I then took a shower in the clean water provided by a municipal water utility.

After that, I turned on the TV to one of the FCC-regulated channels to see what the National Weather Service of the National Oceanographic and Atmospheric Administration determined the weather was going to be, using satellites designed, built, and launched by the National Aeronautics and Space Administration.

I watched this while eating my breakfast of U.S. Department of Agriculture-inspected food and taking the drugs which have been determined as safe by the U.S. Food and Drug Administration.

At the appropriate time, as regulated by the U.S. Congress and kept accurate by the National Institute of Standards and Technology and the U.S. Naval Observatory, I get into my National Highway Traffic Safety Administration-approved automobile and set out to work on the roads build by the local, state, and federal Departments of Transportation, possibly stopping to purchase additional fuel of a quality level determined by the Environmental Protection Agency, using legal tender issued by the Federal Reserve Bank.

Have a great day.

Hey, how about next you have the US government tell you what to say to make sure you don't hear anything "unfair" or search your house on a "weapons inspection tour" to keep you safe from having too many or illegal guns? We had lives BEFORE our government was bloated and can after. The market will always self correct. Ban cheap imports of crap from other countries and we can survive and work right here in the US. Where is the government when protecting our borders, language, values and the constitution? Huffy town Post, Yes thats unbiased.....

Wow! I think you made a great point with that quote. I'm not really sure of what the right plan is, but it's a horrible situation that our nation's health care is in.
